This is a free, simple and fully featured online tool for converting PNG image files to icons for use as favicon.ico, desktop or application icons.

png2ico.com enables you to convert from PNG files to the ICO icon format.

You have the choice of image sizes to include in the ICO file, 16x16, 32x32, 48x48, 64x64, 128x128 and 256x256. you can choose whether to include all sizes, a selection or just one size.

If the Auto option is selected png2ico will include all sizes up to the chosen image's dimensions. For example, if a 200x200 image is uploaded, the converted icon file will contain 16x16, 32x32, 48x48, 64x64 and 128x128 images but not 256x256. The default option is Auto.

If the uploaded image is not square then it will be centered and any empty space will be transparent.

Simply upload the file you want to convert into an icon and it will be converted ready for download to your device.

Once converted, the icon will appear in the Converted Icons section. To download, simply click on the image.

File size: uploaded files are limited to 640KB in size, however, the smaller the original file size is, the faster the upload and conversion will be.
